Research activities

I am interested in scientific questions relating to ecology and evolution of acoustic communication. My research activity is specifically focused on the effect of the environment on animal acoustic behaviours. I study both the effect of abiotic and biotic environment. In my research, the abiotic environment can consist in typical ecological factors such as temperature and precipitation or more complex factors such as environmental connectivity. In the biotic environment I am particularly interested in community structure and social environments.

I currently work on three main projects:

Frogs and climate change Language in insects Freshwater ecoacoustics
